Newsletters designs can either be in full color or in
black and white. Although my cost for design is the
same, you should ask your printer to quote prices on
multiple methods. 1) All Black w/ Grayscale Images
2) 4-Color Front and Back w/ Black and Grayscale inside
3) Full 4-Color throughout publication. This will allow
you to choose the right method to fit your budget. If
you are printing large quantities, you should also
inquire about folding and tabbing so that they are ready
for mailing when received.
Newsletter face page size is 8 1/2" x 11", which is
printed on 11" x 17" paper that is folded. Therefore,
one 11" x 17" sheet is 4 printed pages. Knowing this,
you should always keep your newsletters page content in
multiples of 4 (4, 8, 12, etc.) so there are no loose
cut sheets that can get separated from the newsletter during mailing, or even after it has reached your consumer, client, customer, or employee.
The completed design file can be furnished in the format specific to your printing needs. If online printing, I will follow the guidelines of the online printer you plan to use. When using a local printer, if you provide me the contact information, I will confer directly with the printer as to their digital file needs. JPG versions will be supplied if you intend to do the printing yourself in Ink Jet or Laser quality at home.
Newsletters can also be provided in PDF
format for use on your website, and in Rich Text Format
(.rtf) for large print versions and Braille printing.
The .rtf version does not include images or graphics. |
